U.S. Operating Presence
The wrong U.S. address gets accounts flagged, frozen, or denied.
Banks, payment processors, and marketplaces each check a different address, for a different reason.
We match your address plan to your entity, your documents, and your tax position before you submit anything.
Amazon utility bills and insurance · U.S. banking · Shopify Payments · Transfer service providers
One address plan for banking, payments, and marketplace verification.
Open U.S. bank accounts, secure merchant services, and support Amazon verification with an address plan built around how you actually operate. Our team also handles the critical mail that arrives there, which is what sets this service apart from an address alone.
Who we work with
Global ecommerce sellers scaling across Amazon, Shopify, Walmart, and TikTok Shop
Non-resident founders launching U.S. brands
U.S. residents moving from a starter setup to a structure that holds up

You need three address types, and each one does a different job.
Mixing them up is why accounts get flagged and legal notices go missing.
1. Registered agent
Legal notices only
Receives service of process and state legal notices. Includes scan and alert, an escalation protocol, and backup contacts.
What it is not: a business operating address for KYC or banking.
2. U.S. virtual mail
Scan, forward, and triage
Captures and escalates time-sensitive mail: IRS letters, state sales tax notices, and marketplace verification codes. Done right, that means daily scanning, keyword rules, and trained staff who route state and marketplace letters to you promptly.
What it is not: a KYC operating address for banks, processors, or marketplaces.
3. Operating presence
A real office lease
Prove where you operate, for banks, Stripe, Shopify, Walmart, Amazon, and strict vendors.
What passes
A conventional, non-CMRA demised suite
A lease in your company’s legal name
An electric or Wi-Fi account in your company’s legal name at that exact suite
An internet service bill in your company’s legal name, on the same suite line
Optional support: an insurance certificate, signage, and a Google Business Profile.
Tax note: a U.S. operating presence may create a U.S. trade or business, effectively connected income, and state nexus. A treaty may not protect you. We align the address plan with your tax plan and coordinate transfer pricing with your advisors.
Executive office centers usually share one center suite (for example, “Suite 200 #123”) with reception, mail handling, and house-metered power. That reads as a mailbox pattern and fails durable KYC. We do not place clients in executive office centers as operating presence proof.
What drives KYC pressure on U.S. companies.
Banks and processors must comply with FinCEN and Bank Secrecy Act anti-money-laundering rules, customer identification and due diligence rules, OFAC screening, card-network merchant location rules, and NACHA.
Marketplaces add INFORM Act re-verification and their own fraud controls. Changes to the beneficial ownership registry do not relax any of this.
If you claim U.S. operations, your tax story has to match OECD permanent establishment and transfer pricing standards too. We align the evidence across all of it, so your file reads as one coherent business.

What each gatekeeper looks for
A good strategy starts with who is checking, and what they check.
Agencies and global tax firms
Consistency
They require your business and personal addresses to line up.
Mismatches cause delays, utility bill requests, or rejection.
Shopify Payments
Operational presence
Often requires real U.S. operational presence, beyond a lease or a virtual address.
Permanent establishment warnings are common with cheap setups.
Mercury and other fintech banks
Matched documents
When your EIN letter and ID align, a matched legal address is often accepted.
Addresses flagged as a CMRA are typically denied.
Traditional U.S. banks
Physical proof
Often require a utility bill, a lease, or a real office suite, typically $800 to $2,000 a month.
Permanent establishment tax risk and extra filings may follow, depending on your operations.
We don’t sell documents.
We build platform-aligned U.S. structures that get verified and stay compliant. If you are already stuck, we can help you fix it. Building it right from the beginning is faster and costs less.
We help you
Align your LLC, EIN, and address for a clean approval
Match your trading address and documents to each platform’s requirements
Avoid permanent establishment risk, IRS confusion, and banking denials later
Address solutions, by approval only
When you work with us on your full setup, we may offer:
A virtual mail address with Form 1583 on file, for mail and notices
A real office location with our partners, when you need operating presence
A lease and utility account in your company’s name, only when your platform or bank requires one
EIN and document formatting support for banking and platform intake
We provide address solutions only as part of a complete Verified Expansion plan, because a disconnected address leads to disconnected results. For a random U.S. address to try out, there are plenty of low-cost mailbox services. We are not one of them.
The truth behind U.S. address risk.
Some providers promise a shortcut. Others push hacks that end in restrictions and closed accounts. We deliver a platform-tested address strategy, aligned to your entity, your documents, and your goals.
The pattern we see
A cheap start, an expensive repair
A seller forms an LLC alone and uses a low-cost registered agent address as the business address.
The bank rejects the structure and the address.
Stripe holds the funds.
Amazon cannot verify the account, and selling stops.
The repairs follow: new leases, appeals, and new applications. Each one costs more than the plan would have.
Compliance reminder
Before you commit
If a provider skips USPS Form 1583, or forwards mail without it, you may already be out of compliance.
A physical U.S. office set up only to pass a Google Business Profile check or open a bank account may trigger U.S. tax presence under permanent establishment rules.
Our role is to build a verified, platform-aligned U.S. presence that does not add tax liability or trigger automated review.
Frequently asked mistakes
What U.S. address types will my business need?+
Most sellers need up to three: a registered agent for legal notices, a virtual mail address for IRS, state, and marketplace mail, and, only when a platform or bank requires it, a real operating presence. Which ones you need depends on your entity, your platforms, and your tax position.
Which U.S. address do I need to get verified?+
It depends on who is verifying. A registered agent address never works as a business address for KYC. Marketplaces and banks look for one business address that matches across your formation documents, EIN letter, bank records, and seller account.
Is Form 1583 required?+
Yes. USPS requires Form 1583 before any commercial mail receiving agency can receive mail on your behalf. A provider that skips it puts your mail, and your compliance, at risk.
Does submitting Form 1583 guarantee my address will be accepted?+
No. Form 1583 makes the mail handling legal. It does not turn a mailbox into an operating address, and banks and marketplaces still decide what they accept.
Do I need a passport to complete Form 1583?+
USPS requires two forms of identification, one with a photo. Most foreign owners use a passport as the photo ID, plus a second document that shows their home address.
Can I just add a utility bill to pass verification?+
A utility bill only helps when it is real, in your company’s legal name, at a suite your company actually leases and uses. A bill without the lease and operations behind it creates a mismatch, and reviewers look for exactly that.
Which address will work for Google Business Profile?+
Google expects a real location where you serve customers or have staff. Virtual offices and mailbox addresses are generally not eligible. We decide whether a profile belongs in your plan at all before you build one.
What about Mercury and Relay? What address is required?+
Fintech banks generally accept a matched legal address when your EIN letter and ID line up, and typically deny addresses flagged as a CMRA. Requirements change, so we confirm the current rule for your file when we build the plan.
Is your address the same as a PO Box or UPS Store?+
A virtual mail address is a commercial mail receiving agency, like a UPS Store mailbox. It is right for mail and notices. Operating presence is a different thing: a real leased suite in your company’s name.
Do I need my own unique suite number?+
For operating presence, yes. Your lease and utility account should point to your own demised suite. A shared center suite with a box number reads as a mailbox pattern.
What’s the risk with other “address-only” services?+
An address with nothing aligned behind it. The address does not match your documents, the platform flags the mismatch, and the cleanup costs more than doing it right the first time.
Will you provide an address that works for Amazon, TikTok Shop, or Relay?+
When you work with us on your full setup, we match the address to what each platform checks, as part of the plan. Each platform makes its own approval decision.
Do I need a physical office in the U.S. to open accounts or get verified?+
Not always. Some platforms and banks accept a matched legal address. Others want real operating presence, and adding an office can create U.S. tax presence. Finding out which applies to you is the first step in the plan.
I’m a small seller and just need something cheap. Can you help?+
If you only need mail handled, a mail service may be enough. If you need to pass verification, the cheapest path is the right setup the first time. Start with a free discovery call and we will tell you which one you need.
I’m stuck or confused. Can I just ask a few quick questions?+
Yes. Book a free discovery call. If you already have a U.S. company and EIN, the Verified Clearance Plan ($597) is the next step after that call.
Why did address verification get harder?+
Banks, processors, and marketplaces all tightened KYC at the same time: anti-money-laundering modernization, card-network merchant location rules, and marketplace re-verification. Each one checks your address from a different angle.
How do you help me determine which address is best for my situation?+
The Verified Clearance Plan reviews your entity, your documents, your platforms, and your tax position, then tells you which address types you need and which document comes first, before you pay for anything that will not pass.
What do others say about our U.S. address services and strategy?+
